I decided to make a handle for a set of vintage auger bits, which I inherited

In the future, I will carve a nice handle when I’m out in the bush, but for now I’ve used a piece of scrap wood from the shed

The design is very simple. I started with some mild steel (approx. 2mm) and cut a rectangle and drilled a few holes.

I used a file to square the centre so that the auger bits would grip nicely.
I counter sunk the corner holes so the screws could sit flush

That’s it ! Done !

… well while I was at it I thought I’d make a few. It didn’t take long at all
