Black Wattle Tool Handles sourced from a tree in My back yard. I air dry the branches with the bark on and as the bark lifts and peels when needed remove all bark and i get this Two-Tone effect that I like...Linseed Oiled and Lead Wedges ...Cheers.

Any chance of a more specific ID of the wattle? There are a few different wattles known as black wattle.

You can't say that there are the best shears or scissors for working in the garden or in the orchard. It all depends on the preferences and what you need from these instruments. I use some tree trimming tools from Haus and Garten and they completely satisfy me. I use them twice a year, in the Spring to cut the dead branches from my apple trees and in the autumn, for the same purpose. I like that it is comfortable to work with them, it is not hard to cut dead branches using them, and it is comfortable to hold them in hand, and I don't need anything else from such an instrument.
