another great garden that is very useful and should be close to the kitchen door is the Herb Spiral (permaculture). it is a great space saver and also creates micro climates for different herbs in one small area

This is my old one built 6 years ago not been planted in last two due to either floods or Drought, even though very little water required.

Another interesting micro climate garden is the banana circle, I will talk about this later if there is interest allows growing area out of the norm and a safe way to use grey water on fruiting plants
