The home made Wiltshire file striker and S.A flintstone work very well. I found with my batch of that flintstone the darker grey stone are the best.

I too favour Wiltshire files and believe they make some of the best sparking strikers you can make.

Aussie flint is great and I love using our flint, personally, I favour the black though it all sparks very well.

Actually the dark grey is rather a blackish shade and yes it sparks well. Very pleased with the batch I bought from Rocky Instincts.
