For those of you familiar with the Kiama Blowhole you may be curious to see how it's behaving in this wild weather we're having.
It's the wildest I've ever seen it. I've seen it in some pretty wild weather before, but never like this.
Not technically a bushcraft video but I'm guessing most bushcrafters have the same fascination I have with natural phenomena like this.

Excuse the fact that it's a bunch of separate videos. I kept having to stop videoing to wipe all the water off the phone.
Also they aren't in the same order I took them.
You can hear me at the end of one of those saying "probably time to go" because I was getting blasted by spray, but my lips felt frozen so I wasn't really speaking clearly.
I'm fairly sure I had hit the stop button but when my phone is covered in water the touch screen often becomes a bit unresponsive.
Luckily my phone is waterproof so I was able to keep filming despite the fact it was getting soaked from the spray. By the time I was done I was soaked too.
I had no wet weather gear on just a beanie, warm jacket, shorts, and as usual, no shoes haha.
You'll notice the camera shaking because I was struggling to hold it still due to the wind.
Eventually I had to stop filming because the spray was being blown so fast it started to sting my face.
On the ones where you can tell I'm on the higher viewing area my arms are actually resting on the railing for most of it.... and I STILL couldn't hold the phone still due to the wind.
The camera also starts zooming in and out and changing focus on its own at a few points because the water drops on the screen were making it think I was touching the screen. I kept trying to zoom back out and refocus.
If you've been there you'll know how high the viewing areas are from the actual ocean. Yet I could taste salt water in the spray from the waves because it was being blown up all the way to even the top viewing platform.
All it all it was still great fun to go check it out despite the wild weather and getting soaked.
