A friend has this growing in the wheatbelt in WA. He was told it was a bay leaf, but it doesn't smell like bay when you crush the leaves.
Any help appreciated.

Pittosporum undulatum

also known as sweet pittosporum, native daphne, Australian cheesewood, Victorian box or mock orange

I call it native Daphne, has a very strong scent

:)
