Martin Dyna Bow .. So this was made by the Martin Archery Company . It's a wall hanger ( functional ) .
I have it because it's a important part of Archery History . At the time this bow was seriously ahead of it's time !
Just a shame that it was not fully developed to reach it's maximum potential .
Martin purchased the rights to this bow , so did not actually invent it .
I can't find the History on this bow , I know I saw it online a long time ago .

One of the best finger bows I have ever shot !
It's a bit old now ..... I think around 15 years ( ? more maybe ) But it shoots !

Bear Super Kodiak Copy !
yes , a copy !

Bow was made by Doug Abbott ( ? 100% on spelling )
Anyways , Doug was a Retired GMH exec who started making bows in his garage .
People in the know , knew Doug .
I was a regular at the Bow Hut and when I found out about Doug , well , I just had to meet him and talk bows ( and buy some )
This bow is / was made in the 80's and came about when a Lilydale Bowmen took his broken Super Kodiak to Doug for repair .
Doug made a mold and I was one of the first to get my hands on a replica Super Kodiak .

Wow , the bows I used to have .... That's one hell of a list !

Another of Doug's Bows ..
This one is a little different ..

Back , way back in time .. In a land of milk and honey ( USA ) ...
You could buy BOW BLANKS .. ( Unfinished Bows ) ..
And you could specify the level of finish or unfinished that you wanted .
Yeah , I was kind of envious of Americans for all their milk and honey !

So one day ( for some reason ) I was at Doug's , and I spied a blank .
I asked Doug about it , and he said it was made for a customer but turned out too heavy for what they wanted ( Draw weight ) .
I was like = PERFECT !!!! ill take it and finish it .
Doug was like , oh no ! it's too heavy !
So I asked him , how heavy ..
From mem it's low 60LBS @ 28 and stacks relatively softly . ( If I remember )
I said , that's not heavy ! ill take it ! & I did ..
Brought it home and carved away the things I did not want .. And a BOW was born !
There be no markings or anything on this bow , because I did the finish work .
From mem the sight window was already cut and the limbs partially tillered .. The rest was me .

Already pictured was my Kodiak Magnum ( real deal )
Here be one of the copies ... 70@28 and 52 inches .
This one has had a paint job to make it stand out a little less .
Now , did I finish all the Magnum copies myself ? It's such a long time ago !
But from memory , I got Doug to make the blanks for me .. Maybe the last one was all Doug ?
We will find out a I make my way thru this small bow collection . Im sure I did two , don't know about the 3rd one .
