Tools carried on the strap. Vent quills, powder measure, pricker, pan brush, & loading block. Traditionally the smoothbore was loaded with an unpatched ball in the same manner as loading bird shot. But I carry just two patched ball in this loading block for quick reloads.
This image shows how I attached the finger woven wool strap to the leather ends for securing to the shot pouch.
