Trennals aka Treenails aka a wooden peg, nail or fastener

I wanted to store my walking stick, so I fashioned a trennal and hammered it into the outer layer of a tree
Trennals should be made from hard wood.

In this case I whittled it from a splinter of a shattered trunk ie from good timber, not a stick

Its Pimelea (aka Bushmans Bootlace) - makes great cordage.
Easy to strip, very supple, and strong
